Please do not send Showreels (Video's or DVDs), voice tapes or CDs.? We simply do not have time to view these, and are unlikely to be able to return them.? We receive huge volumes of unsolicited material like this and it is a great waste.

Although experience in film and television is far from essential, do mention any contact you've had previously with film sets or any performance work.? That said, any practical skills or experience from?"real life" can be useful too. If you have been military trained, or are a professional driver, a martial artiste or a dancer, a nurse or doctor or even a waitress or short order chef, it will improve your chances of getting good work greatly. One of our principles is to supply the genuine article when we cast. If someone wants a soldier, thats what they get. Not an actor who needs to be taught how to fire a gun. If we cast a waiter, he should be able to carry a tray and pour wine.

Furthermore, a CV gives us the opportunity to assess whether you are the right kind of person to do the work. Remember that reliability, punctuality and discipline are vitally important.?? We expect a professional, organised CV, properly prepared using a word processor.? Not a handwritted note professing your lifelong desire to appear in Eastenders!

We'll only offer to represent you if we think there is a decent chance of finding you work - so don't be disappointed if you don't hear back from us straight away. It may be that we already represent too many people of your age, sex and type. It may be that we feel that we won't be able to use you in the near future. However, trends change quickly, so if you don't get offered a place the first time it's always worth re-submitting.

Our registration runs from January to December, and our books open between September and November, for people wishing to register for the following year. To be sure of being considered, it is always worth submitting your details in August.

Please remember that we receive a vast number of applications, for a very few available places.? Consequently we are unable to return any CVs, photographs or other promotional material.? We may keep your details on file but we do dispose of CV's after one year, so you will need to resubmit each year if you are not contacted.
